This is a simple pot with 3-4 herbs growing , all herbs you can grow with more success in a hydroponic environment, for a longer and quicker harvest period.
Figs figs and more figs – what do you do when 2 bowls arrive at your door – figs cut for dehydration soft ones into the saucepan for jam and the nice firm ones for salad tonight.
Seriously the dehydrated fig chips are the absolute best snack.
Over the years I have had mixed success in growing mushrooms.
From the “box” drying out to the mycelium culture turning – yet home grown mushrooms are something I really enjoy watching. (And eating). The texture is so much nicer, and the smell of fresh mushrooms is second to nothing.
On Saturday prior to Christmas at the Willunga Farmers Market I purchased a kit in hope of motivation to once gain grow our own mushrooms.
